Visit Bayon Temple, known for its 54 towers adorned with over 200 enigmatic, smiling stone faces believed to represent Avalokiteshvara or King Jayavarman VII himself. Continue to Baphuon, a massive temple-mountain that has been painstakingly restored, and the nearby Royal Enclosure, which includes the Phimeanakas Temple, once used by Khmer kings for religious ceremonies.

Explore the grand Terrace of the Elephants, a 300-meter-long viewing platform used for royal processions, public ceremonies, and military parades. End your morning exploration at the haunting Terrace of the Leper King, adorned with detailed carvings of mythological figures.

Afternoon Marvel – Angkor Wat & Sunset View from Bakheng Hill
After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to the world-renowned Angkor Wat—the largest religious monument in the world and Cambodia’s national symbol. Built in the early 12th century, this architectural masterpiece is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu and represents the pinnacle of classical Khmer design. Wander through the galleries, admire the detailed bas-reliefs depicting epic Hindu legends, and absorb the spiritual atmosphere of this majestic site.

In the late afternoon, head to Bakheng Hill and ascend the ancient temple-mountain of Phnom Bakheng. From the summit, enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding jungle and the distant spires of Angkor Wat silhouetted against the setting sun, an unforgettable experience.

After breakfast at your hotel, continue your in-depth exploration of the Angkor Archaeological Park with a day devoted to the Petit Circuit and Grand Circuit temple groups, less crowded but equally captivating temples that showcase the diversity and evolution of Khmer architecture.

Morning Discovery – Petit Circuit Temples
Begin with the Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda temples, small yet elegant twin temples built during the reign of Suryavarman II. These well-preserved structures are admired for their graceful carvings and balance of design.

Next, visit Ta Keo, a grand sandstone temple mountain believed to be one of the first Angkorian temples constructed entirely in stone. Though unfinished, its towering structure provides a glimpse into early temple-building techniques.

Continue to the atmospheric Ta Prohm, famously embraced by giant tree roots. Unlike many other temples, Ta Prohm has been left largely in its natural state, offering a truly photogenic and mysterious experience. The jungle setting gives visitors the sense of rediscovering a lost world, just as early explorers once did.

Visit Banteay Kdei, a sprawling monastic complex with serene corridors and partially collapsed chambers. Then enjoy a peaceful walk around the royal bathing pond of Srah Srang, often referred to as “The King’s Bath,” with its tranquil setting and historical significance.

Afternoon Journey – Grand Circuit Temples

Next, visit Neak Pean, an unusual island temple built on a circular artificial island, originally used for healing rituals with its sacred pools representing the elements.

Continue to Ta Som, a charming temple known for the enormous sacred fig tree growing over its eastern gate – another iconic photo opportunity.

Then discover East Mebon, a 10th-century temple located on what was once an artificial island. It’s famed for its well-preserved elephant statues and views over the surrounding plains.

Conclude the day at Pre Rup, a temple mountain believed to have been used for royal cremations. Its brick towers and laterite terraces glow beautifully in the late afternoon sun, offering another chance for scenic photos.

Overnight in Siem Reap.

After breakfast at the hotel, we begin the day with a relaxing 1-hour cruise on the Tonle Sap Lake, Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake and a vital lifeline for millions of Cambodians. During the cruise, you will have the chance to explore a floating village, where you can witness the unique lifestyle of local fishermen and their families who live on stilt houses and floating homes. This experience offers a fascinating glimpse into the traditional way of life on the water.

After the cruise, return to Siem Reap town to visit Chantiers-Ecoles – Artisans d’Angkor, a social enterprise dedicated to preserving traditional Khmer arts and crafts. You will observe skilled artisans at work, creating exquisite sculptures, silk products, and wood carvings, a great place to pick up meaningful souvenirs and support local talent.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, offering authentic Cambodian cuisine.

After lunch, enjoy some free time to shop at the Old Market (Psar Chas), a bustling local bazaar filled with handicrafts, souvenirs, spices, and local products.

Finally, we transfer you to Siem Reap Airport for your departure flight.
