We start the day with a welcome drink at Hai Café – our meeting point.
Visit Hoi An colorful market and experience the amazing sights, sounds, and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about all the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.
We board a Red Bridge boat for a leisure cruise (25 minutes) along Hoi An River to the Red Bridge cooking school. This is a chance to view local life, so make sure your camera is handy.
On arrival, we will explore the Cooking School’s herb garden before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – the Red Bridge chefs first demonstrate each dish before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the cooking, we will eat what we have cooked.

Overnight in Hoi An
This morning, you will embark on a scenic transfer to Hue via the Hai Van Pass, one of Vietnam’s most breathtaking coastal routes. If the weather permits, you’ll be treated to stunning panoramic views of the coastline, with headlands and bays stretching into the horizon.
Upon arrival in Hue, enjoy a delightful lunch at a local restaurant before beginning your exploration of this historic city. As Vietnam’s former capital from 1802 to 1945, Hue is a treasure trove of cultural and architectural wonders, offering a glimpse into the grandeur of the Nguyen Dynasty.

In the afternoon, embark on a boat trip to Kampong Phluk, a fascinating floating village located 16 km southeast of Siem Reap. Accessible only by boat, this small fishing community offers an authentic glimpse into life on the Tonle Sap Lake. The village is home to stilt houses rising to 10 meters high, built to withstand seasonal floods and is surrounded by a lush flooded forest. This visit is available only from August to November when the water levels are ideal for exploration.
